Timberwood church is excited to partner with parents as we help children develop a relationship with Jesus! Children have many opportunities to bring God into their lives each and every day. Join us and embark on the adventure of spiritual development at Timberwood Kids! Our prayer for your family is to know Jesus, grow as a family in your relationship with Him, and become spiritual leaders.

The Big God Story
We define the “The Big God Story” as God’s ENTIRE story. It incorporates all of history, stretching from Genesis to Revelation and beyond. We share each Bible story within the context of The Big God Story, so the Bible becomes much more than just a collection of short stories. Each lesson is centered on God and how He works in our lives.
God has woven His redemptive plan throughout time and we want kids to understand that they not only play a part in this incredible story, but are also part of a much larger faith community of past, present, and future believers.
Join us each Sunday 9:00 & 10:30 a.m. The Big God Story is available for children 3 years of age through 5th Grade Nursery is available for children 0–36 months
Nursery (birth to 36 months) is available for children of adults attending the adult study or service in either children’s or youth ministry on Wednesdays.
Pre-school Children (3- 5 yr olds) will explore bible truths through purposeful play and worship. Play-n-Worship lessons include interactive stories, simple Bible points and age appropriate songs that bring children into the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Grades K – 4th students experience FaithWeaver Friends®. This is where friendships are built and our relationship with God deepened. Rotations through activity centers provide meaningful activities, great discussions, and personal challenges. Our Wednesday night program takes learners past “head knowledge” of the Bible and into heart- and life-change, weaving faith into their lives.
Grade 5 students work together in community as they prepare for the transition to the Youth Programs. Participants learn about the Bible as a collection of stories, but in the context of God’s great plan for our world and His plan for our lives. A brief survey of each book of the bible gives context to the stories they heard as children, creating opportunity for better understanding as they continue to study. In addition, students will engage in a study of Jesus at the age of 12 years. The class concludes with a deeper look at the 10 Commandments and an introduction to the Youth Group that they will be joining.
Join us Wednesday nights! Contact Amy LaBarre 218-967-8888 or send her an email.
Child dedication is an opportunity to acknowledge children as a gift from God. Families dedicating their child(ren) make the commitment, to raise them to know, love and serve the Lord according to His Word, the Bible. Timberwood Church, as a body of Christ, supports this commitment by loving children as Jesus did, providing an environment for children to experience the Holy Spirit and partnering with parents.
If you would like to have your child dedicated, please email Amy LaBarre or give her a call at the church office at 218-967-8888.
Infant (birth through 17 months) Toddler (18–35months) Our youngest children will learn from the first moment in the nursery that Jesus loves them. Trained and caring volunteers will be available to care for, laugh with and play with your child. Volunteers will provide a story time, singing time, and snack time for children who are able to participate. In the event that the nursery staff needs to contact a parent, the assigned parent pager will vibrate and flash.
