  • John Just

    John is delighted to be serving as Pastor of Timberwood Church. He is a teacher who loves encouraging others… a people person… an avid student of the Bible. He started out his career as a “numbers guy,” attending the University of MN, Duluth, 1986-1990, where he earned a Bachelors of Accounting. He earned his CPA certificate in 1992. That’s when a passion for ministry took him to Bethel Theological Seminary where he studied from 1993 to 1996 and earned a Masters of Divinity. 


    John worked at Wooddale Church, Eden Prairie, MN and Friendship Church, Prior Lake, MN, before he was invited to be a part of Timberwood Church were he has served since 2004. He graduated with a Doctorate of Ministry at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2013; his thesis is entitled, “Creating a Biblical Vision for Timberwood Church.” He is married to Tanya and they have two children.

  • Eric Holst

    Eric is our Spiritual Formation Pastor hailing from Yankton, SD via the Twin Cities. He joined our staff in July of 2010. He graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with a Religious Studies degree in 2002 and spent time in a variety of ministries across the country before tackling seminary at Bethel Seminary in 2006. 


    Eric has a zeal for life and a wide variety of interests from decorating cakes to running, from roasting coffee to downhill skiing. He loves being on the water whether it be skiing, fishing, or sailing. Eric loves spending time with people and hearing about their personal journeys. Fellowship and community are two of Eric’s passions within the church body. When Eric is not working he cherishes the time that he gets to spend working outside, camping, adventuring, and living life with his wife and two kids.

  • Amy LaBarre

    Amy is honored by the call to serve at Timberwood is our Community Life PastorShe started her career as a middle school teacher and later served in several administrative roles. As a passionate follower of Jesus, her heart’s desire is to encourage and support families as they grow and experience the love of Christ. Amy, her husband Steve and their four kids call Nisswa, MN home.

  • Lee Wuflestad

    Lee is our Music Ministry Pastor and oversees the implementation of the music ministry as it relates to Timberwood’s corporate worship. He is passionate about leading the Body of Christ in corporate worship and connecting with musicians, vocalists, and technicians as they live out the natural response to God and his story through song.


    After graduating from Northwestern College (now University of Northwestern) in Roseville, MN, Lee worked in the business communities of Minneapolis and Baxter for about 10 years. He then served as Worship Pastor to Lakewood Evangelical Free Church in Baxter, MN for 5 years and Salem Evangelical Free Church for 10 years after that. Lee joined the Timberwood staff in 2017.


    Lee is married to Holly and has three children Ellen, Laura, and Simon. He enjoys playing guitar, following sports, working out, spending time with his family, and playing basketball with his son, Simon.

  • Amanda Quisberg

    Amanda is the Children, Youth and Family Ministry Director and oversees all programming from birth through 18 years old for both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. She is responsible for recruiting and equipping volunteers for these programs. In particular, Amanda is responsible for teaching the majority of the lessons in Timberwood Youth and leading youth retreats and mission trips. 


    She is passionate about kids of all ages and their families having a space to learn and grow their understanding and relationships with Jesus. Amanda’s background in education and experiences with her own four children led to a desire to find new and creative ways to connect our community at Timberwood together and grow in our faith. Amanda and her family have attended Timberwood since 2010 and was an active volunteer in Timberwood Youth. The time volunteering is where God grew her passion and excitement for people and ministry. Amanda joined our staff in April of 2021. 


    Outside of her time at Timberwood Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and adventuring near and far. She enjoys rucking and reading books about a variety of topics.

  • Betsy Stromberg

    Betsy is the Children, Youth and Family Ministry Assistant. She assists in all programming from birth through 18 years old for both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Betsy is specifically responsible for Wednesday night programming in Timberwood Kids, which includes equipping and supporting volunteers and teaching the weekly lesson. 


    Betsy and her family have attended Timberwood since 2012. Betsy was an active volunteer in Timberwood Kids and Youth before joining the staff in 2020 as an Administrative Assistant. In April of 2021, Betsy made the decision to change roles and begin assisting in Family Ministries. Betsy enjoys working with the volunteers and all the families that attend Timberwood.


    In her spare time, Betsy enjoys reading, watching sporting events and spending time with her family.

  • Matthew Michaud

    Matthew is the Next Gen Director here at Timberwood. As the Next Gen Director, Matthew’s focus is to create a community with high school students and young adults at Timberwood Church. In particular, Matthew assists with youth programming on Wednesday nights with teaching and equipping youth leaders and students. He also is responsible for connecting young adults through small groups and events.

     

    He is passionate about helping people find their place to belong. His desire is that people would find Timberwood as a place where they can come and be cared for, care for others, and be encouraged in life and faith. 


    Matthew grew up in the Twin Cities. He graduated from Crown College with a Biblical and Theological Studies Degree. He then moved to Colorado to work at a church there. He was then called back to Minnesota, where he joined Timberwood’s staff in 2022.

     

    Matthew is married to Anna, and they have one little boy, James. He loves spending time with them as well, as with their two pups. When not at church, he enjoys games (of all sports, board, or video variety), being outside, and good food.

  • Joy Walter

    Joy is the Administrative Assistant at Timberwood. Joy loves welcoming new and returning people, answering questions in person or on the phone, supporting finance and managing weekly communications.


    Joy has attended Timberwood since 2007. She began as an active volunteer with TW Youth (8 years) and this led to a Poland mission trip and multiple mission trips to Detroit. She is also very passionate about the Ultimate Journey, serving as the Group Coordinator and a facilitator. Joy believes this program is one of the best, hardest, and most beneficial things a person can do for themselves and their faith.


    In her spare time, Joy enjoys spending time with her husband Jon, children, grandchildren, and extended family. She loves being outside as much as possible and some of her favorite things are walking, hiking, kayaking, reading, quilting, and watching football.
